Jesus said “I came that you might have life and have it to the full.” Susan was a friendly cheerful extrovert with a good sense of fun, and she certainly enjoyed life to the full. She loved to be with people and had a friendly outgoing personality. She was kind and caring and loved being with children and being helpful to others. Almost everyone who knew her commented on her big infectious smile. She emanated love and affection which had the effect of drawing people to her. As one parishioner at St. Gabriel’s put it, ‘she had Charisma and she was a charmer’. She charmed almost everyone with whom she came into contact. Many people have commented on the fact that her big smile and cheerful ‘Hello’ or ‘Good morning’ would brighten up their day. Attending Church was always an enjoyable experience for Susan where she could join in with the hymns and responses. Her singing was joyful and enthusiastic though not necessarily tuneful, but usually brought smiles to other parishioners faces. Her life has been a blessing to all who knew her but especially to us her parents, her sister and the extended family.
